Championing Maternal and Child Health: GIAR Academic Foundation’s National Poster Competition Success

The GIAR Academic Foundation is proud to announce the monumental success of its National Level Poster Making Competition, held in profound observance of World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2023. This initiative underscored our commitment to public health advocacy, leveraging the power of art to promote and protect breastfeeding practices across India.

Unprecedented National Engagement and Outreach 🇮🇳

The competition drew an unprecedented response from the academic community nationwide. GAF received more than 200 high-quality entries from students representing 47 diverse colleges across the country. This remarkable participation highlights the growing awareness and willingness among future professionals to engage with crucial health topics like maternal and child nutrition.

By encouraging students to visualize the theme and benefits of WBW, the competition fostered a deeper educational impact, turning participants into proactive advocates for the “first vaccine” of a child’s life. This overwhelming response solidifies the competition’s status as a significant national platform for health-focused student expression.

Celebrating Excellence: Competition Results and Awards 🏆

Following a rigorous evaluation process of the creative and impactful submissions, the winners were officially announced on August 8th, 2023. The winning posters were selected based on artistic merit, clarity of message, and effective communication of the scientific and social benefits of breastfeeding.
